James Hodgson lives and works in Hampshire. His interest in photography started several years ago with the advent of mainstream digital photography and continues to grow. He sees digital post-processing as an important part of the overall image creation process and most of his work has been edited on a computer, to a greater or lesser extent.
His usual style is quite abstract, concentrating on the details of the subject at the exclusion of the context. That said, he finds it hard to resist an interesting landscape. Over the past year, black and white photography has become something of a speciality of his.
He takes photographs because he enjoys doing so but is always pleased when others enjoy looking at them as well.
James has contributed works to both the "Natural Britain Through the Lens" and "Eye on the World" exhibitions. From July to November 2010, he will be mounting his own exhibition, "Tone, Texture, Time" with two other photographers at Manor Farm Country Park.
Please don't use any of the photographs on this site without contacting James first.
